We had a surprise birthday party for Anna. The older kids took all the other kids on a nature walk as we decorated the campsite. The party included a pinata!
We used some "man" tape to make it last long enough for all the kids to have a turn.
Johnathan being Johnathan...
We went on a day hike to the "Natural Bridge" In some places it was like a tropical rain forest.
The Gang Opening to the bridge.
It looked cave-like from the entrance. (I think it looks like a lot of skulls stuck in the rock)
Inside looking out. If you click on the image to make it larger you can see the misty waterfall that cascades down the opening.
Johnathan was worried about hiking in the rocks at first but quickly gained his confidence!
We spotted a huge caterpillar! I think he smiled for the camera!
Sorry, for the long time in-between post but I've been very busy with work and gone out of town quite a bit and Kaylynn hasn't learned how to do a post so here is one for us.
I was out of town for court and we didn't have our FHE night so tonight we did our activity. The kids had picked out several pumpkins and we carved them up tonight. One of the pumpkins had spoiled and we ended up one short....Megan and Joe Joe shared one. The girls both drew their own pictures and Kaylynn and I helped them out. Here are some of the photos for your viewing pleasure.
